Green Bay VS St. Louis

Brett and the boys better not phone this one in. Seattle Seahawks are looking to get the bye week. If the Packers can pull off a win against the lowly St. Louis Rams, then they will get the Bye week locked up. Bubba Franks might come back from injury this week. I like the idea of another blocker, but Donald Lee is less inclined to drop the ball. This game is indoors, which is nice. Up here in Green Bay, the temps are in the teens, and it could beat up my Packers. Meanwhile Aaron Rogers needs another week to heal from his hamstring injury.

Packers waltz over the Raiders

I guess you could say that it looked close at half time, but the Packers had the momentum. Ryan Grant had 156 yards today. Jennings had another 80 yard TD catch. Favre had enough arm to get the job done. I'm sure he would have been pulled from the game if there was a back up to take care of the job. Donald Lee had a huge game again today. Sorry Bubba Franks, I don't think that they want you back. The only thing that would have topped today would have been a Dallas loss. Oh well, the NFC North has been won by my boys, the Green Bay Packers.

Keep winning, and get a bye.

Should Favre sit out the Raiders game?

The starting streak for Brett Favre is impressive. The team is also impressive enough for Favre to take a week off. This is bigger than a starting streak. This is about going into the playoffs strong. This is about a week off during the playoff run. Sit down Brett. If this shoulder doesn't heal up, or should Favre get hit again before it heals up, who's to say he's safe for the rest of the season? On any given day, one NFL team should be able to beat the other, but the Green Bay Packers are going up against the Oakland Raiders, then the Rams. Aaron Rogers should be given the chance to take the wheel for a game. I agree with Richard Stephan of BleacherReport "If the Packers win one more game, they're pretty much a lock for the second seed in the postseason. And they can—and should—do it without Favre." This is the time of the season when great teams rise above the injuries and keep winning. Perhaps Brett, you need another week to get better?

The ugly side of the Packer game

Brett had that look in his eyes. He didn't know what do do. Too many long passes. Too ugly.
In comes Rogers and he runs up 17 points to make it interesting. The game sucked. The Packers needed Woodson and others to make it close. I hate Dallas. Two bad calls: The non-interception in the first quarter, and the pass interference call in the third. Brett Favre will be ready for Oakland. The Packers can't phone this one in. They have to take their anger out on the Raiders. My prediction Green Bay 31 Oakland 17

Packers hard to view thanks to NFL network

I'm glad that I live in Green Bay. Drive one hour to the west, and you won't see tomorrow night's game unless you have the NFL network. I don't like going to a bar to see the Green Bay Packers. You spend too much money on food and drinks. Perhaps the NFL network could work out a state-wide deal, where the home team's entire state gets to see the game for free, and the rest of the world can pay the fee. Yes, Dallas fans are world-wide, so are Green Bay Packer fans, but hey this is crazy, paying to see the Green and Gold.

Big D in Dallas

Woodson may not be available. Jolly is out. KGB is iffy. Will the Packers match up and win this game in Dallas? It's about time. Favre hasn't one in Dallas. He's due. The road games have been easier this year, the Lions prepped the Packers to go up against a real team, it's all there for the taking. The stakes? Home field advantage, a bye week, respect. C'mon Pack, win this one in Dallas, and I can take a breath. Come home a loser, and we will see how the playoffs play out. No prediction for this game. I can't take the tension already. Go Packers.

Gift of a Packers win on Thanksgiving

The Packer game against Detroit had the same feel as last week. After a short screw up fumble, and a couple of field goals, the Packers put it into high gear, and sped past the Lions. Then after a while, the Packers let the Lions back into the game. One strong drive, and it's lights out. I guess that I should forget about all that and enjoy the win. Donald Driver had a record day of 140+ yards. Brett Favre broke the pass completion streak by connecting 20 times in a row. He was just 2 passes shy of the NFL record. Ryan Grant pulled off over 100 yards, and the biggest part of his game came in that field goal scoring, put the game in the bank, drive at the end. Now, the hype is big for the Dallas game. Very big. History shows that the past six times that two 10-1 teams wend head to head, the results were split right down the middle. Some won on the road, some won at home. I'm fired up. Go Packers! Get that playoff birth nailed down, and get the bye week, and finally get home field advantage. Until then, just beat the Cowboys.
